Fourth Power of Presence: Serving Others with Compassion

I’m so excited to be moving on up, out of the energies that keep us held back and weighed down, and into the place where the magic starts to happen. Welcome to the fourth Power of Presence: Serving Others with Compassion

When it comes to connection this is where powerful connection, especially to others, starts to take shape. The fourth Power is all about love, compassion, and service. As we connect with others from the pure intention of serving them, there’s nothing in it for us, there’s an energetic shift and the doors start to open.

The first three Powers are very self driven and often in a ‘woe is me’ mentality. The truth is when you lead with this type of energy you repel people and what you truly desire away from you. And what you do attract is exactly what you’re putting off so it can feel like a constant downward spiral with no end in sight. However, when you begin to tap into the fourth Power connection happens

The fourth Power is all about, ‘how can I serve’, ‘I’m here to help’, ‘how can I create a winning situation for all’. There’s a constant focus on care, serving, and giving the highest value possible. Individuals who work in service or care fields, people who have children or care for a parent or another person, managers who are truly giving towards their teams all exhibit the fourth Power and very likely lead with it as their primary power.

Gratitude is also a tenant here. I notice that when I can find gratitude and take a moment to acknowledge it - whether it’s related to large or small things - my energy shifts. I’m more open, I’m more joyful, and I’m more connected to myself and to others. In short, I find more presence.

The key here with the fourth Power is not just service and care of others but also self care. One of the downfalls for those of us who are fixers (or maybe recovering fixer as I like to call myself), and always want to be serving others, is that we burn out. If we’re not nurturing ourselves in the same way that we nurture others there’s a tendency to get sucked back down by the first Power where you are drained and feeling like you’re giving and nothing is filling you back up. Nurturing yourself, your side projects, your business, whatever it might be, is key to maintaining and expanding into the higher Powers.

The energy of gratitude, connection, and serving begins to unlock the doors to what’s yet to come with the highest Powers of Presence. As the third Power was a rest stop, the fourth is a gateway. Through this gateway we welcome even more connection, powerful intuition, opportunity, and pure passion.

Take a moment to pause and consider how the fourth Power shows up in your life. How you are tapped into it. Feel free to write things down, journal, whatever helps you. And again, with all of this, just be curious. There’s no judgement, just greater awareness.

  • When does it appear?

  • What triggers these feelings?

  • How long do you sense that it lasts for?

  • What do you notice about how you show up in the world when you’re feeling the fourth Power?

  • If you find yourself serving and giving to others constantly, how well are you also serving yourself?

If you’re an eager beaver and don’t want to wait for each level in detail you can grab my Seven Powers of Presence guide here. I share this simple guide with all my clients to help them gain awareness and presence and now you can have it too.
